February 10, 2026 call to action

🚨 CORALVILLE: Flock ALPR alert

Last year, the Coralville City Council said Policy 427 would be a safety net to protect us from mass surveillance abuse. Today, we know the truth:

ICE ACCESS: The Iowa Attorney General is forcing Coralville to remove immigration protections from our policy, giving ICE access to our Flock data.

BROKEN RULES: Recent reports confirm Coralville Flock data was already shared with Cedar Rapids in direct violation of city policy.

NO FIREWALLS: The legal protections they promised us have been stripped away by the State.

We were told this technology would be safe and regulated. It is neither. Don’t let them just “fix” the policy—tell them to CANCEL THE FLOCK CONTRACT.

In the work session following the Tuesday, February 10th at 6:30 pm Coralville city council meeting, council will be discussing a letter from the office of the Iowa Attorney General instructing Coralville to change their Flock policy to comply with all immigration detainer requests within 30 days

The public is encouraged to attend the Tuesday, February 10th at 6:30 pm council meeting as a show of support in asking council to end the Flock contract.

Community comment is near the beginning of the meeting but Mayor Goodrich frequently limits it to a total of fifteen minutes with more time allowed for comment near the end of the meeting.

The public is also encouraged to stay for the work session following the council meeting. Work sessions are open to the public but community comment is not allowed.

See you at Coralville City Hall on Tuesday, February 10th at 6:30 pm. Let’s make our voices heard. 🗣️
