We have been met with an absurd amount of antagonism by some members of Coralville city staff and elected officials simply for showing up at council meetings and asking questions.

We even learned that a core group of us were being referred to as “the disrespectful six”.

Coralvillain is mostly just wordplay, flipping two vowels in a word that would otherwise be Coralvillian (resident of the city of Coralville) and it signifies history of being mischaracterized as troublemakers merely for participating in democracy.

Also we just think it’s funny.
